mysticeyezzz asked:
I am torn over our next family vacation. We are a family of 3 adults and 3 teenagers from Seattle. We would love to do a cruise and see the Western Carribean ( Mexico, Belize, Grand Cayman Island) but at the same time have never been to Hawaii. What is the best bang for our buck and/or fun for the explorer type vacation?

I live in Louisville, KY. My husband and I love to travel, but since the birth of our daughter we aren’t sure where some appropriate destinations would be. Any suggestions regarding some kid friendly travel options besides Disney?

Spec Tac asked: If you are working right now and have adult responsibilities brought upon us by both our own choices and circumstances, as well as the ways of our modern society – then you probably spend at least 40 of your best hours working away at a job. For a fortunate few, you may love what you do, but for a lot of us, even if we did enjoy what we did in the beginning, the repetiveness of our job makes it a dull responsibility that we deal with every weekday.
I constantly wrestle with this internal battle. Today, I would like to pose the question – if money was no longer a concern in your life (say you somehow won a contest or something that gave you enough money to pay your bills and maintain your current salary), what would you do – what would you pursue, which areas – besides a career now – would you pursue in your life? What about yourself would you enhance?
A couple of ground rules – can’t just say “take a vacation” or “sit at home all day” – please detail what, how, and why you would pursue in your life. In other words, if you had this freedom from our current mode of society, what would it mean to you to be human and what would you pursue to evlove yourself as a human?
After re-reading, I don’t think I truly captured the essence of my question. I would like to add – without being bound to your current job 40 hours per week, what would you do to improve yourself (spiritually, creatively, intellictually) and to also make a positive impact on the rest of the world.

knownowthing asked:
I know who my birthfather is, and have talked to him on the phone and through email. He has a wife and two daughters.
In the past 8 years he’s sent me family photos, talked about vacations and college plans, and told me the family medical history. What he hasn’t done is make any progress toward telling his family about me.
Last year, I invited him to my wedding, but he declined. I know his daughters are on Facebook, and the eldest is now over 18 – an adult. Is it wrong for me to contact them directly?
I understand this is hard for him, but they are my half-sisters, and I would like to get to know them.
