A good first job (part time or seasonal) for a 17 year old girl?

Hey I’m looking for a job to do during the winter holidays and/or just part time after school. I really need money so I can take this summer course. I’ve worked as an instructor at a summer camp for 4 years, but I need a job during the year in order to afford the summer course. I’m looking for a good first job, maybe in retail or something? I’m not totally sure, any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

When waiting, you learn a number of skills that you can take with you to other jobs such as
Disipline, learning to Multi-task, Learning to take criticism, Feeling like the world is on your shoulders and what to do when that happens… Plus its an easy job to get and you get money every shift you work…Having money in your hands like that is hard to manage but you will learn eventually and you get good with handling your money…it sets you up for sucess really

Ah! I’m looking for a job too! I’m guessing you’re still in High school (me too!) so you should look for places close to your home first so that it’s easy to get to after school and easy to get home. Most places hire when you’re 16! Try the mall– walk into stores and ask if they’re hiring or try online first! Also, try places like KMart, Walmart, Target, or grocery stores, and etc! Just make a list, and apply online! Good luck!
