    For October travel, you might want to check Disney travel. There main tourist season drops off significantly in September (kids going back to school). They start offering great fall rates for October travel.
    And by the way, this applies for both Disneyland and Disney World travel packages.
    Also, cruises drop off in pricing in October as well. And, they take payment plans- so you can pay bit by bit if you are more comfortable than a large chunk at a time.
