Things to do in Detroit over spring break?

I live in Detroit (well, close to it), and I was wondering if you guys could give me suggestions of things I could do downtown or around Detroit. Is there theatre? Good shopping? I just moved here so I don’t know a lot about it. Any ideas are appreciated!
