I’m looking for a vacation destination to take my kids (ages 9 & 12) this winter or spring. Is there any such thing as a resort for single-parent families? I’m looking for warm beaches, snorkeling, boogie boarding, clean and safe, with other families who are in the same position. I’m not looking for a pick-up place! But it would be nice to have other adults to chat with who are also on vacation solo with their children. Is there such a place?

Ok, so my family and I go on a vacation every Spring Break. The first one was to Niagara Falls, CAN. and it was great, but my grandmother came. Our second one was to Mexico, The Riviera Maya. Again it was amazing but my aunt, grandmother, and two cousins came.

This year we want to go with just us. My mom is single, and my brother will be 10 when we go, my sister will be 12, and I will be 13. We would like to go some where hot. (we live in northern Canada), All inclusive. We’ll go for 2 weeks and not over $2500/person. Not Mexico (my mom is a nurse and she’s paranoid by Swine Flu). I was thinking the Dominicain or Jamaica, you know, somewhere hot where you don’t need to leave the resort to do stuff. We love entertainment and pools and oncean-side is a must. My mom would like to stay 5* and doesn’t lwant over 550 rooms because she likes the idea of not so mant people, she would lobve like 200.

So I just want to know some good family resorts and some attractions.

Another thing, I have no interest in going anywhere in the USA, I wish to explore other countries if I am going to take the time to organize a vacation. Please offer recommendations for a good trip, countries, cities, any idea.
