Help Please What do i get a 13 yr old and a 10 yr old for Xmas?

January 20th, 2011

Codi asked:

I have 2 lil brothers, I love them to death they are great kids. Here’s the deal i just recently moved to San Antonio because my husband got a better job offer making more money. Growing up we never had a lot of money or anything for that matter. I am finally in a position to get them a really great gift to make their holiday shine even though I have my two kids to buy for. The 13 yr old loves sports, playing with his friends, loves shoe and clothes. I have no idea what to get him! The 10 yr old has a nintendo wii i know he wants a game but what are some really cool games i could get him? Or maybe something he might enjoy more. Thank you so much. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

I thought this was hilarious. Just thought I’d share some holiday fun?

December 30th, 2010

Mommy of Thomas & Brody asked:

If Santa answered his mail honestly…

Dear Santa
I wud like a kool toy space ranjur fer Xmas.
Iv ben a gud boy all
yeer yer Frend,
BiLLy

Dear Billy,
Nice spelling. You’re on your way to a career in lawn care.
How about I send you a frickin book so you can learn to read and write?
I’m giving your older brother the space ranger. At least HE can spell!
Santa
———-

Dear Santa,
I have been a good girl all year, and the only thing I ask
for is peace and joy in the world for everybody!
Love,
Sarah

Dear Sarah,
Your parents smoked pot when they had you, didn’t they?
Santa
———-

Dear Santa,
I don’t know if you can do this, but for Christmas, I’d
like for my mommy and daddy to get back together.
Please see what you
can do?
Love
Teddy

Dear Teddy,
Look, your dad’s banging the babysitter like a screen door
in a hurricane.
Do you think he’s gonna give that up to come back to
your frigid mom, who rides his *** constantly? It’s time to give up that
dream.
Let me get you some nice Legos instead.
Santa
———-

Dear Santa,
I want a new bike, a Playstation, a train, some G.I.Joes,
a dog, a drum kit, a pony and a tuba.
Love,
Francis

Dear Francis,
Who names their kid “Francis” nowadays? I bet you’re gay,
I’ll set you up with a Barbie.
Santa
———-

Dear Santa,
I left milk and cookies for you under the tree, and I left
carrots for your reindeer outside the back door.
Love,
Susan

Dear Susan,
Milk gives me the runs and carrots make the deer **** in my
face when riding in the sleigh.
You want to do me a favor? Leave me a
bottle of scotch
Santa
———-

Dear Santa,
What do you do the other 364 days of the year? Are you busy
making toys?
Your friend,
Thomas

Dear Thomas,
All the toys are made in China .
I have a condo in Vegas,
where I spend most of my time making low-budget porno films.
I unwind by
drinking myself silly and squeezing the ***** of cocktail waitresses
while losing money at the craps table.
Hey, you wanted to know.
Santa
———-

Dear Santa,
Do you see us when we’re sleeping, do you really know when
we’re awake, like in the song?
Love,
Jessica

Dear Jessica,
Are you really that gullible? Good luck in whatever you do.
I’m skipping your house.
Santa
———-

Dear Santa,
I really really want a puppy this year.
Please please please
PLEASE PLEASE could I have one?
Timmy

Timmy,
That whiney begging **** may work with your folks, but that
crap doesn’t work with me. You’re getting a sweater again.
Santa
———-

Dearest Santa,
We don’t have a chimney in our house, how do you get into our home?
Love,
Marky

Mark,
First, stop calling yourself “Marky”, that’s why you’re getting
your *** whipped at school.
Second, you don’t live in a house, you
live in a low-rent apartment complex.
Third, I get inside your pad just
like the boogeyman does, through your bedroom window.
Sweet Dreams,
Santa

As a muslim, I am struggling with how to approach Xmas/Christmas in regards to my family?

December 27th, 2010

smiley asked:

with my first December 25th as a muslim, I need to make some choices-

Do I get presents for the sake of a family gathering?
What about my family refusing to give me Eid presents?
[ I didn't demand that they do but when it came up in conversation, my mom noted that 'this is a christian household so I would get presents from her on Christmas']
Is it immature or proactive to not share in their holiday when they didn’t share in mine?

I’d appreciate any feedback/advice on this subject- please provide proactive comments, not insults
Good point about Eid and gifts and I see it as an occasion for worship with gifts being a ‘side note’ so to speak

- my point was that when I mentioned Eid, my family were very negative about acknowledging it at all or wanting to hear about why Muslim celebrate.
I should clarify that I am married and don’t live with my parents. Also I agree with the historical proof that xmas is a pagan holiday made religious, which my parents believe too but still observe. Thanks

What should I do in Seattle this holiday? 1st time visitor?

December 21st, 2010

amero asked:

I’ll get in Xmas eve and I’m not sure when I’ll stay ’til. I don’t know how long I should stay for- how long do you think I should stay in Seattle to get a good look around and see if I want to move there this summer?

What do you recommend I do while I’m there? I’m a young woman who likes rock n’ roll and good books and clothing and all of that but I really just want to get a feel for the city while I’m there. Maybe look around a few college campuses. Any recommendations? Or how about advice on what its like to live there and if its a good time to go? About anything would be helpful!

Also, I’m used to New York City etiquette in a big city, but I get the vibe Seattle is a little more chill. Any tips?

November 18th, 2010

Marlena M asked:

We are planning vacation in Rio in mid November, for Thanksgiving, and I just want to know is this period good for laying on the beach, swimming and things like that! Is it warm enough? I know it’s a Brazilian spring, and I know it’s better to go there in spring then in summer, because summer is very hot…

Will it still be safe to eat?

November 8th, 2010

stella m.d. asked:

One of my friends is holding a Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. While we were talking about this dinner two weeks ago, he mentioned that he had “smuggled” the turkey into the country when he got back from his vacation in the States in JULY. So all this time that frozen turkey has been sitting in his freezer. It’s been FOUR MONTHS.

I’m having second thoughts about coming to this T-day dinner because of this turkey. I don’t think it’s safe to eat.

What are your opinions on this?
Sorry had to add more details. He took a direct flight from NJ to East Asia (which is like 15 hours). And no, he did not refrigerate nor put it in a freezer. He packed it in his luggage and buried it in his clothes.
Once he got here, it’s a 2-hr trip from the airport to his home. Then that’s the only time that he froze it again. It’s been frozen since…until tomorrow, that is.
