Hi, I am Australian. You need a visa to come here for any reason. You have two choices of visa. A tourist visa which is strictly a holiday visa with no working allowed. The second is a working holiday visa.
Here is the Australian immigration page you seek.
Australia and Ireland have reciprocal agreements for working holidays. You can work here and I can work there while on holiday.
You basically need to be under 30 and have sufficient money for the beginning of your holiday.
That would equate to about $2,000 or more(about 800 pounds) and a credit card or a guarantee from your parents they will offer to send you money should you need it. Don’t turn up with $50 or they will send you back home. If you have a place to stay when you get here or a person who will vouch for you for accommodation you will need less money.
Check the site and ask them questions.
As long as you are prepared to take any job you will probably do well here.
Good luck.
