Yep. We work so hard to get everything ready and then it’s over in an instant. Even my 6 year old son said, “Christmas goes so quickly.” And then, what is there? Winter. I call it the Doldrums like the seas near the equator in the Pacific, I think, that had no wind. Ships could drift endless for weeks without one. It drove some mad. I think it’s a perfect description.
I haven’t found a way to cheer myself up. My son is looking forward to school. (He’s only in kindergarten; I’m sure he’ll grow out of that. lol) I haven’t figured out anything. Even celebrating Three Kings on January 6th doesn’t really help; it just prolongs the inevitable.

Yeah, but im going on a ski trip tomorow with my school in italy for a week so its okay
But after that i will probably feel sad that its all over.

no. since my mother died 2 years ago **** the holidays. I am also out of work so there were barely any jobs around to apply to I am relived its over with

I always get sad espically sense school starts again Monday:( but we just get closer and closer to summer:) then it all starts again

I feel a little low after parting from the extended family but then there are big New Year celebrations, spring is on the way, planning for holidays, seeing what survives the winter in the garden etc etc Life is good.

i just posted a question like this. Yes i do!! i miss the music, commercials and most of all…the anticipation of christmas eve. Its just all gone and now i have NOTHING to look forward to
