Does the Cloudy Weather of Winter bother you?

I swear I have only seen the sun once this month here in Maryland. I wonder what happened. It was so nice into mid November with late fall colors, warm weather and sunshine, but since December it has been so grey.

I wonder if the grey weather day after day bothers the average person or do you stay so busy during the Holiday Season that the weather is last on your mind.

A lack of exposure to the sun reduces the amount of a chemical that reacts with exposure to the sun. So in one way or another we are all affected.

Due to the lack of sunshine, the body does go through changes. It is an issue of concern to many. I suggest you turn on extra lights in the house, etc…

that chemical the person above me spoke of is serotonin (I have a natural lack thereof)….but I absolutely love the winter months……hot weather stresses me out, and being uncomfortable never helps with that.
I live in Florida, Vero Beach….and I **** the heat…go figure…..

Winter bothers me to an extent that I dread it. Personally, I have to make a lot of effort to keep my life going normally. My lifestyle changes….I don’t go out as much and I feel quite sluggish and dull. I cannot take my usual walks outside and that hurts. I have to think 50 times before stepping out. Somedays, a rainy cloudy weather is real nice from inside a cosy home…..really depends on my mood. But overall, I love the sun’s warmth and I don’t look forward to winters.
