Oregon has several nice areas for winter vacation fun. First, check out the area around Bend in Central Oregon. The best skiing in Oregon can be found at Mt Bachelor, a 30 min drive from Bend. There are also several resorts on the road between Bend and the mountain. You might also check out Black Butte resort. It is a ways from Mt Bachelor, but if there is snow at Hoodoo ski area, it would be a good choice. Also, take a look at some of the hotels/resorts around Mt Hood. There are many options in Government Camp, and a bit further down the mountain in Zigzag, Rhododendron, or Welches. A stay at Timberline Lodge is just about as ‘Winter Wonderland’ as you can get.
