Hi, I’m a teenage kid from Evansville Indiana and I’m trying to make some money during the fall and winter for the holidays and I’m not sure on how much I should charge people for the work. I’m doing, Mowing, Snow Shoveling, Leaf Removal, Cleaning Out Gutters, Shrub Trimming, Mulch Installation, and Clean Ups. Is there a good method to calculate prices? Should I charge by the hour if so how much an hour? I appreciate any awnsers, Thanks.

if you can get to the house, get it mowed, and get out in 30-45 minutes $10-$15 is a fair price. as far as the other odd jobs are concerned most people would rather pay by the job and not by the hour. no offense, but you are a kid and the chance of you disappearing for an hour and expect to get paid for it is too great. charge per job and try to make yourself about $10/hour. after you have mowed a couple lawns and shoveled some side walks you will have a much better idea at how long certain things take and it will be much easier figuring prices to charge.

Charge by the hour. I pay $15.00 for the same thing in New Orleans, LA
