junknstuffcollector asked: I’m half Norwegian, half German. My Norw. gramma always had lutefisk and lefse(like a tortilla, only thinner and baked on a griddle) & oyster stew on Xmas Eve. I hated the fish and oysters, but would fill up on the lefse. On Xmas Day, my german gram would have turkey or ham, real mincemeat pie, fruitcake, and bread pudding, all of which I stuffed myself with. Now we have ham and mashed potaotes, green bean casserole, and apple pie alamode. How much more all american could you get?

Laina asked: 2000 or laterish would be preferred. It’s for my book review blog. I’m going to be doing a theme month for December and I only have a short list so far. I want lots of option in case I don’t like some of them, and I don’t want to use any I’ve already read.
Here’s what I come up with:
From my to-read list:
(Non-YA)
Christmas Wishes by Debbie Macomber
When Christmas Comes -//-
Snowbound by Lindsay McKenna, Cara Summers & Laura Marie Altom
Once Upon a Christmas by Lisa Plumley
(YA)
The Twelve Dates of Christmas by Catherine Hapka
Kissing Snowflakes by Abby Sher
Ex-Mas by Kate Brian
Let It Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle
From Online:
Mistletoe: Four Holiday Stories by Hailey Abbott, Melissa de la Cruz, Aimee Friedman, and Nina Malkin
My Brother’s Hero by Adrian Fogelin
The Tricksters by Margaret Mahy
Jingle Boy by Keiran Scott
The Christmas Killer by Patricia Windsor
Dream Soul by Laurence Yep
Any recommendations?

Mark V asked:
I am going to be in London over Christmas week (23 December to 28 December). I have been to London many times, but never over a major holiday. Is it hard to get around, do things, or go out to eat on Christmas Day? What about on Christmas Eve? Is Boxing Day a huge “closed” holiday?
Thanks! I am excited to see the city at Christmastime!
