I live in Northern Ca and I’m driving to Southern Colorado for the holidays. I was wondering what to bring in case of an emergency. I have a road side kit you buy at Costco, it has flares, jumpercables, tire hole sealer, flashlight, etc, all the basic stuff. I already keep a gallon of water in the back just in case but is that enough? What about a blanket or some energy bars? I have a reliable truck but this is the first time I’ve made the drive out there myself in the winter. so any advice on what to bring?
