omgnowayxo asked: I am taking the Princess Cruise to the Easter Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale this February vacation. My friend last minute decided she wanted to come. The cruise is booked but isn’t it true that you can get a room if you are on the waiting list and someone who is on the ship cancels last minute? How far in advance do you know if you get on the ship? My friend lives in Boston and it would be hard for her to get a flight to Florida in short notice. We are trying to plan this messy situation, but don’t know where to start.

byersmoney asked: I’ve noticed that the prices of inclusive vacations have risen substantially in the last week. My wife thinks that the cost may have risen due to the Easter weekend approaching. The question is … would it make sense to wait until Monday to book , (thinking that the prices would go down again after Easter) … or would they keep rising regardless … thus reducing the quality of trip we could get for our money. We are leaving within 2 weeks.

I know in Canada, a lot of things are closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday. Will most stores/restaurants be open on those days? Or should we vacation at an earlier/later time?

Oh, and if you have suggestions as to which location we should book our hotel in, that would be great. We’re in our late 20′s, and are looking to stay at a 4 star hotel.
