My installer told me not to turn off my high efficiency furnace at the cottage in winter as it could freeze and cause lots of damage. I like to turn it off when I’m not there to save gas, what can freeze? How can I prevent it from freezing? My installer disappeared so I can’t ask him.

We are exchanging gifts, etc, but I was wondering if anyone had any great ideas for a fun/festive/at home/reasonably priced activity? Regarding “white” holidays: Every other holiday is a “white” holiday. Recognizing MLK’s contribution to America for ONE day shouldn’t be an issue.
