I was in a 20 year relationship, until feb 2007. Only woman I’ve ever known (we were together since I was 18). Started dating a lady, but she’s very aloof, not very emotional. She warned me she’s weird around the holidays – I have never dealt with it. We have seen each other for six months; I’ve been craving more emotional closeness, the physical has been fine. I’m devastated right now, having dropped my kids off at the airport to go see their mom (which is cool) but she (the lady Im dating) is really stand-offish. I need some comfort and she is unavailable for that. I’m a emotional mess, and kinda ashamed really.. I decided last night to leave her house, her bed really, and just go home. I want to have the strength to just move on, but I’m clinging to the idea she’ll want to pull me back. She won’t though – I know it. I have placed my own emotional value system on her, and that is wrong.. She told me upfront how she was, but I need more. The fact that she was attracted to me and we shared a lot of physical stuff makes it difficult to not desire an emotional basis after six months, but she doesn’t. She is incapable, I know that. I am so vulnerable, that I’m hoping for it, but the logical side of my mind knows it wont happen.
I need advice how to let go, feel some self esteem, and move on. I’m pretty miserable right now; could really use a pick me up.

because i really want to change my hair before xmas vacation is over, just for fun. I’ve wanted side swept bangs since the beginning of the school year but i wanted to wait for xmas vacation. And recently i’ve been thinking that layers would be cool, too.

my hair is a few (like 4 inches)inches below my shoulder and its straight, fairly thick.
people, it’s not THAT thick but its not thin either (in between)-definitely not bushy or poofy
