I absolutely love Christmas time. It makes me so happy and cheery, and I love spending time with family, but most of all the true meaning of the real “Christmas Story” is amazing to me.
On Christmas eve we go to dinner at my husband’s families house. We then go to church with my family. On Christmas day we go to my families house for lunch, and then to my husband’s families house for dinner. We decorate beginning of December (so any day now) and that’s also when we totally get in the spirit and start shopping for gifts. This year we have a new addition- our beautiful daughter, who will be almost 2 months on Christmas day! It’s really busy with her and I’m not going all out with gifts this year. I’m giving everyone money and/or gift cards, except to my husband, his parents, my parents, and of course our daughter. I’m getting my husband cologne and some clothes, my parents and my husband’s parents I’m thinking of getting them a digital photo album with pictures of them and our daughter, each a personalized mug that says “World’s Greatest Grandma/Grandpa!” and a tie or some dishes and platters and/or cookbooks for the ladies!
